美食の町メルボルンを州都とするヴィクトリア州。ブドウ栽培に適する冷涼地も多く、ヨーロッパ系移民が19世紀半ばからブドウ栽培を始めました。
　1838年植樹のイエリング･ステーションはヴィクトリア州最初のブドウ畑として歴史に名を刻む生産者。内陸でも水が豊富で涼しいナガンビー･レイクスに1860年設立されたタービルクは、ブドウ栽培と同時に醸造所と地下貯蔵庫を建設、設備は現在も使用されています。オーストラリアン･アルプスを望む標高400ｍの畑で1968年より栽培を始めた家族経営のデラタイトは、2006年バイオダイナミック栽培を導入し、醸造も限りなくナチュラルです。

Melbourne, the capital of the state of Victoria, is famed for its gastronomic delights. The state has many cool regions suitable for viticulture, and European immigrants were quick to start planting grapes in the mid-19th century. Yering Station, planted in 1838, was the first vineyard in Victoria, and has a long and storied history. Tahbilk was founded in 1860 in Nagambie Lakes, a cool inland region with abundant water. At the same time as planting grapes, Tahbilk built a winery and cellar, facilities that are still in use today. Family owned and operated, Delatite started in 1968, planting vineyards 400 meters above sea level looking across to the Australian Alps. In 2006 they introduced biodynamic viticulture, and a commitment to making wines as natural as possible.
