畑は標高460m、クレア･ヴァレーでも特に冷涼な場所。硬質なスレート土壌のポーリシュヒルとは対照的に赤いローム層の下層に石灰質の軟質石土壌が広がる。2002年に匹敵する最高の年で、香りの凝縮度が見事。

A rare wine from a world-renowned Riesling producer.
The Watervale vineyard sits at an altitude of 460m, making it one of the coolest sites in the Clare Valley. In contrast to the hard slate soils of Polish Hill, this site features soft, calcareous soil beneath a layer of red loam. It was a stellar vintage rivalling 2002, producing wines with magnificent aromatic concentration.
