《デッドアーム用「アメイジング･サイト」の単一畑より》

ダーレンベルグ創業100年を記念して企画された「アメイジング･サイト2010年」は、マクラーレン･ヴェイルの12の単一畑シラーズを同じ手法で造り、テロワールの違いを表現する試み。その一つ「エキストラオーディナリー（際立った）デライツ（喜び）」の畑は、マクラーレン砂丘の内陸部、10万-260万年の若い粘土質を覆う砂質土壌に1970年前後に植樹、果実は香り高く力強い複雑さを持つ。（原生林に囲まれた美しい畑の風景がその名の由来。）

《A single vineyard Shiraz from the ‘Amazing Sites’ used for the iconic Dead Arm》

The Amazing Sites 2010 project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of d’Arenberg’s founding, aimed to express the differences in terroir by making 12 single vineyard Shiraz wines from McLaren Vale using the same method. The ‘Extraordinary Delights vineyard was planted around 1970 in sandy soils over 100,000-2.6 million year old clay in the inland McLaren Sand Hills. The fruit is aromatic and intensely complex. The name expresses the beauty of the vineyard surrounded by old-growth native forests.
