With these local flavours in mind, we've selected two whites and three reds to make a good meal even more memorable. First up is Australia's Pizzini Fiano ❶, an Italian variety with citrus and floral notes, a mineral edge and lovely texture. A natural match for seafood, particularly lemony ajillo or grilled white fish. Trinity Hill Hawke's Bay Chardonnay ❷ comes from a producer renowned for its world-class Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay.
